Our client is a listed company in the offshore Oil & Gas industry and they have a job opening for the Senior Payroll Specialist position

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
  • Processes local payroll and regional payroll including allowances, benefits claims and statutory claims.
  • Handle income tax clearance for foreign employees.
  • Prepare payroll account reconciliations, reports and posting to GL.
  • Monitor and manage payroll cash book and request for fund promptly.
  • Comply with statutory reporting and filing requirements like CPF and levy submission, annual income tax submission.
  • Handle income tax clearance for foreign employees.
  • Improve and review payroll policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate with HR/Admin Department to ensure all personal and payroll information and records and maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Handle all internal and external audits related to payroll and support survey queries.
  • Interpret new legislation impacting payroll and ensure compliance.
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll matters.
  • Liaise with banks and government bodies like MOM, CFP, IRAS (and their corresponding foreign counterparts for the regional payroll) where applicable.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of working experience with minimum 2 years as payroll manager and relevant management experience.
  • Experience handle big headcount of > 800-1000 and familiar with NTS workers payroll preferred.
  • Well verses in Times Software
  • Degree in HR Management
  • Preferable with regional exposure eg, Msia, Philippines, China etc
  • Good knowledge in legislations such as Employment Act and CPF Act
