What you will give:
Your hard work and commitment will help maintain our excellent reputation and customer service. Duties will include all usual daily operating tasks of the dive center (assisting to logistics for courses and guided dives, filling scuba tanks, servicing equipment, equipping divers, as well as working in the dive center in housekeeping, sales and office duties). As an intern’s education and certifications progress, interns will be given duties that may include leading groups of qualified divers and assisting instructors with courses. Our interns gain, in addition to many dives by the end of the season, a valuable insight into this industry and experience of dealing with customers including qualified divers, course students and beginners. We ensure that when our interns successfully leave the program, they are highly qualified and experienced ready to work anywhere in the world as a recreational diving professional.
In addition to the day-to-day routine and a full daily dive card, there is study and preparation for your certifications, so discipline and motivation is essential. In addition to diving experience, desirable attributes of interns are a full driving license, spoken European languages, media, design and computer skills and sales/retail skills.
Be advised from the start that the hours in this industry are long and the work sometimes hard, but if you have a passion for scuba diving and working with people, the rewards are immeasurable. If your goal is a career in the recreational diving industry, this internship will let you experience what you need to know and more.
